Are There Any Side Effects?

Acupuncture has so many great benefits, one of them being no side effects. The only thing you may notice is an occasional bruise. Otherwise, it is entirely safe.

Where Do the Needles Go?

Needles are inserted at certain points throughout the body. It depends on the patient's condition, but acupuncture needles are commonly inserted below or right at the elbows. They may also be placed below or at the knees, the abdomen, back, and ears.

What Will My First Treatment Be Like?

Our chiropractor will evaluate your medical history and establish an evaluation of the particular condition you are being treated for. You will also be asked questions about your lifestyle. Our chiropractor will then check your pulse and take a look at your tongue, while tender areas may also be evaluated. Your first session can last anywhere between 1 and 1.5 hours. All other treatments following will last an hour.

How Can I Prepare for My Treatment?

Before your treatment, you may want to eat a light meal or a snack to give your body enough energy. Be sure to wear loose clothing, so your legs and arms are easily accessible during treatment. You should drink a glass of water following your treatment to help stabilize your energy.
